Though @asean leaders had banned #Myanmar#military chief from attending leaders' summits just 1 week ago due to lack of progress in tackling political crisis, interesting deputy military chief was guest of honour speaker & host at another #ASEAN event #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
How many prisoners did Junta claimed to have released?
Because some of them are already taken back to prison on the same day.
So, it was just a show #ASEAN.
Never trust the Junta.
They have been lying to the world for over 60 years.
So, start talking to @NUGMyanmar now!
The junta is releasing political prisoners in Myanmar not because of a change of heart, but because of pressure. Denying the junta money, weapons and legitimacy is the best way the world can support the people of Myanmar. Statement below https://t.co/Q4iSPaorah
My consultations for an all-inclusive dialogue in the interest of the people were not welcomed by the military. I regret this clear lack of will for a peaceful solution which could have prevented other stakeholders from feeling they have no choice but to seek violent means.
Many inside Myanmar do not describe this as a civil war - rather a “people’s defensive war” against a brutal and repressive regime. With little to no help from international powers what choice do they have?
Stay strong Myanmar.

Good news - the UK announced sanctions against junta linked tycoon U Tay Za. Looking forward to welcoming great news - when governments strategically coordinate their economic sanctions and arms embargoes against the junta so that they work together as a powerful whole.
