Mission accomplished!
I’ve finally found all 240 wildflowers in my Collins Gem guide. The project has taken me many years and to many places, from seashores to mountain tops, and I've absolutely loved it! 🧵

Just metres away from the bustling town regatta, I found a wildlife haven at All Saints Church, Marlow @ThamesPathNT
Bees, butterflies and damselflies were enjoying the flowers, and I enjoyed the peace.

Happy new week. Smelling it before I saw it, I'm welcoming in Monday with this fragrant Philadelphus. Growing wild in the country park 🤍 #GardeningX#SummerFlowers
I remembered to look up as I walked the @ThamesPathNT past Goring for the “trees in flower” challenge. Spotted crab apple and sycamore in flower, plus a bee busy in the willow catkins. I learned that catkins are clusters of tiny, specialised flowers. #treeflowers#WildflowerHour
Few plants can have as many legends and stories attached to them as Mistletoe. However, my favourite is in the Asterix stories - it has to be cut with a golden sickle, by druid Getafix, to be the key ingredient of his magic potion 😉 #storyplants#wildflowerhour@wildflower_hour
Alexanders is a plant with a past.
Brought to Britain by the Romans as a food source, every part is edible.
Now it grows wild along our coasts and roadsides, mostly unnoticed…
Petroselinum alexandrianum = parsley of Alexandria

Taking part today in the #NewYearPlantHunt made me look closer and appreciate the brave little blooms of periwinkle, primrose and daisy, colourful berries and birdsong found along the @ThamesPathNT.

@ThamesPathNT Merry Christmas @ThamesPathNT and thanks for your wonderful posts throughout the year. 💞🙏
Here in Marlow we’re hoping the path will be clear of flooding for a @parkrunUK on Christmas Day 😀🎄. This photo was taken earlier today at Higginson Park.
Even in the heart of London there are wildflowers to discover. A walk by the Serpentine in Hyde Park and through Kensington Gardens revealed gypsywort, ragwort, purple loosestrife and skullcap in bloom. #wildflowerhour#natureinthecity#urbanwildlife
A dreamy summer morning on the @ThamesPathNT between Marlow & Bourne End… Sun beams on sapphire aster, fleabane shining yellow, hawthorn berries ripening and one happy dog paddling ✨ #wildflowerhour#daisyfamily
@DearUniverse_cs “Stillness has something to say”
Each morning, Heron returns to the water’s edge. He doesn’t come to solve anything, or to plan. He comes because this quiet moment, near the gently swaying reeds, reminds him he doesn’t need to rush. This is where stillness speaks, and he listens.
