@_pinkatnight unmask alice by rick emerson. very good look into the intersection of the satanic panic and the war on drugs and how one woman (beatrice sparks of go ask alice infamy) was at the center of it. will make you very angry and sad but very eye-opening. plus it's well-paced.
@Newaiworld_@minchoi i still don't understand why ai keeps trying to insert itself in the arts.
it could have so many more applications for menial tasks we do and don't want to do, if you take away the art from the people they're going to go fucking crazy and tech bros don't seem to understand this
@_pinkatnight not sure what kind of books you're looking for but kindred by octavia e butler IS very good and also very easy to read! i'd say the reading level is around early middle school, it's easy to get lost in the story and not get tripped up on overly complex words
me knowing that time is arbitrary but people collectively choosing to believe in a fresh start is a beautiful reflection of the optimism of the human spirit
We need to start making ChatGPT users feel embarrassed. My sister said she used it to write a thank you message the other day and I laid into her. Arent you embarrassed that you cant find the words to properly thank someone without a program telling you how?
