Most progressive, most effective, hardest-working, and the only person with the experience and know-how to legislate on the most important issue of our time.
What exactly is the argument for the other guy?
There are several AI-industry funded PACs battling it out, and money is now pouring into NY-13... but *THE* single biggest super PAC in New York this year is Stand for New York PAC, which has been entirely funded by $10 million (so far) from Mike Bloomberg.
I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of @LizKrueger, who has spent her career fighting for the East Side. I’ve learned from herwhat it means to deliver for constituents and keep their needs at the center of everything I do, and I plan to take that lesson to Washington to deliver for the voters of the 12th District. I am grateful for her support.
34th Street is getting the busway treatment. 🚌💨
We’re moving forward with a busway on Manhattan’s 34th Street, bringing faster, more reliable service to more than 28,000 daily riders. The busway will run in both directions between Third Ave and Ninth Ave.
This is about one simple thing: saving lives.
We've still got important details to work out, including clear accountability to ensure drivers actually install speed limiters. But we’ve laid the groundwork for a game-changing policy that makes streets safer for all New Yorkers.
Thank you to @GovKathyHochul for meeting with Families for Safe Streets members today, and for championing the Stop Super Speeders bill!
Albany has the opportunity to save lives by slowing down New York's most reckless drivers.
🛑🏎️ A supermajority of the @NYCCouncil, including Speaker @JulieMenin, want Albany to stop the super speeders!
A tiny fraction of drivers cause a disproportionate percentage of deadly crashes. We can finally stop them from endangering New Yorkers with ISA. Lets get it done!!
NYC Council wants safe streets!
I'm fighting to pass the Stop Super Speeders Act in the budget, so our communities are safer. There is still time, let's get it done. https://t.co/JSVvA40IRB
Bipartisan(!) supermajority(!!) of the City Council, including @SpeakerMenin, calls on legislative leaders to pass Stop Super Speeders in this NYS budget.

My paper showed how persistently bad these drivers are: 39 vehicles involved in just one year's fatal crashes went on to accumulate another 123 red- and speed-camera tickets AFTER their fatal crash.

@JillFilipovic The problem is that 75% of drivers with suspended licenses keep driving -- whether out of lawlessness or necessity. The "stop super speeder" bill in the article would prevent these people from causing harm.
Unfortunately, 75% of people with suspended licenses drive anyway.
My Stop Super Speeders Act gives us another tool in the kit by forcing reckless drivers to drive at a safer speed.
"Gov. Hochul is seeking to pass a bill that would require the drivers of those vehicles to install speed-limiting devices. Its fate is tied to state budget negotiations with the Legislature."

Let's get this done.
Habitual speeders who continue to drive recklessly after receiving dozens, and sometimes hundreds, of tickets require NYS to take extraordinary measures, such as installing speed-limiting devices.
