Entornos diversos. Crisis diversas. La misma humanidad.
🌎En todo el mundo, nuestro personal y voluntariado forma parte de las comunidades a las que sirven; son personas vecinas, amistades, colegas de trabajo y familiares.
👥Lo que nos une es la humanidad.
On 8 May, World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, we pay tribute to volunteers who serve their communities with compassion, neutrality, and humanity.
In complex environments, it is often this sustained local presence that makes trust, access, and continuity possible.
United in Humanity.

#OnThisDay we remember the start of the explosive phase of the 2020-2021 La Soufriere eruption in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The weeks following would forever alter SVG and the surrounding islands and leave us all in awe of the power of the #volcano#lasoufriere
Day 9 of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence' saw members of the Police Cybercrime Unit giving an interactive lecture with students at the Community College.
‘There is hope. I can rise again’.
They lost everything in Hurricane Melissa, but their spirit remains unbroken.

Congratulations to the region's first GFARC Trainer of Trainers First Aid Instructors, Natalie Constance & Descima Alexander-Hamilton. The SVG Red Cross is now better positioned to provide world class FA training and service.
The walk for charity continues. Moraine Porter and the SVGRC is passing Mt. Grenan. Come support: walk along or put some money in the red and white bucket.
The charity walkers are now at Black point on the Windward side of the island, heading into town. Come out and support them because yes, they are passing your way.
The "Iron Man"walk for charity from Fancy in the Windward to Richmond on the Leeward side (90 km). Mr. Porter will be accompanied all the way by the SVG Red Cross.
A different kind of volunteering: where education meets service. Red Cross volunteer Alex receives a pedicure during the NQD Level 2 Spa Certification exam.
Emergencies can happen at any time or place. Here, a volunteer provides First Aid to an athlete at the Windward Island School Games happening in St. Vincent. Are you First Aid Aid trained?
Preparation includes pre-positioning of supplies and training. WASH instructor Jerrol Laidlow is seen here with Elna Mitchell of the Fancy Red Cross group.
On the 2nd July 2024, the SVG Red Cross responded in the aftermath of the devastation of Hurricane Beryl. Here, volunteers await the MV Gemstar bringing evacuees from the Southern Grenadines. We remember. #redcrossstrong
