@petergyang Hey, I work on Claude Code Routines. If you end up trying it out, let me know what you think (or if you don't, let me know what we should do better)
Effective today, we are:
1) Doubling Claude Code’s 5-hour rate limits for Pro, Max, and Team plans;
2) Removing the peak hours limit reduction on Claude Code for Pro and Max plans; and
3) Substantially raising our API rate limits for Opus models.
Now in research preview: routines in Claude Code.
Configure a routine once (a prompt, a repo, and your connectors), and it can run on a schedule, from an API call, or in response to an event.
Routines run on our web infrastructure, so you don't have to keep your laptop open.
This is false. We defaulted to medium as a result of user feedback about Claude using too many tokens. When we made the change, we (1) included it in the changelog and (2) showed a dialog when you opened Claude Code so you could choose to opt out. Literally nothing sneaky about it — this was us addressing user feedback in an obvious and explicit way.
You can now schedule recurring cloud-based tasks on Claude Code.
Set a repo (or repos), a schedule, and a prompt. Claude runs it via cloud infra on your schedule, so you don’t need to keep Claude Code running on your local machine.
New in Claude Code: Remote Control.
Kick off a task in your terminal and pick it up from your phone while you take a walk or join a meeting.
Claude keeps running on your machine, and you can control the session from the Claude app or https://t.co/er6Blrr63e
We shipped Claude Code as a research preview a year ago today.
Developers have used it to build weekend projects, ship production apps, write code at the world's largest companies, and help plan a Mars rover drive.
We built it, and you showed us what it was for.
Apologies, this was a docs clean up we rolled out that’s caused some confusion.
Nothing is changing about how you can use the Agent SDK and MAX subscriptions!
