Pericarditis can mimic other conditions, so this case is great for resident-level learners. Having a high clinical suspicion is key!
Residents' Clinic: When pericarditis is considered, investigation should include blood cell counts, renal and liver function tests, thyrotropin, c-reactive protein, and troponin levels, ECG, chest x-ray, and transthoracic echocardiograph.
