The gun is the most misunderstood object in Western civilization. Not a weapon. A technology. The technology that made the idea of equality physically real.
1. The longbow democratized warfare – a peasant could kill a knight with a stick and a string, and Agincourt proved it. The gun completed the process. The armored warrior class whose claim to social dominance rested on physical superiority became obsolete. The aristocratic monopoly on violence ended not with a philosophy but with a mechanism. The gun is the physical enforcement of the idea that all men are created equal. Which is why the American founders put it in the second amendment – not as an afterthought, but as the guarantee of everything else.
2. The Roman citizen had the right to bear arms. The Greek citizen had it. The English yeoman had it. The Swiss canton built its entire civilization on it. The disarming of the population has always been, in every civilization, in every century, the first act of the government that intends to stop being answerable to that population. Show me a disarmed population and I will show you a population that lost something else shortly after.
3. The Second Amendment is not about hunting. It is not about sport. It is about the relationship between the armed citizen and the state – the explicit constitutional acknowledgment that the citizen’s right to defend himself, his family, and his civilization against any threat, including the government itself, is not granted by the state and cannot be revoked by it. Power flows upward from the armed citizen, not downward from the armed state.
4. The gun defends the family. The woman alone with her children. The farmer on the edge of civilization. The shopkeeper in the neighborhood the police no longer patrol. The gun is the equalizer – the technology that makes the physical difference between a large man and a small woman irrelevant. Every argument for disarmament is, at its core, an argument that the state will protect you better than you can protect yourself. The evidence for this proposition is not encouraging.
5. In Europe, the disarmament is now nearly complete – and it happened precisely as the state’s ability and willingness to protect its citizens began to decline. The timing is not coincidental. A population that cannot defend itself must trust the state to defend it – which is a population that cannot effectively question whether the state is doing so. The dependency is the design.
6. The gun is a civilizational technology in the deepest sense: it requires responsibility, judgment, and the willingness to accept the consequences of your decisions. You cannot outsource it. You cannot have a committee fire it. It is the most anti-bureaucratic object ever invented – a direct, personal, consequential instrument that puts the full weight of the decision on the individual holding it. Which is precisely why the administrative state finds it intolerable. Not because it is dangerous. Because it is sovereign.
7. The family that can defend itself does not depend on the state for its most fundamental security. The civilization that can defend itself has not yet outsourced its survival to an institution that will negotiate the terms of that survival on its own behalf. The gun determines who controls violence – and therefore who controls everything that violence can threaten. Which is everything. The Sobieski who rode down the hill had a sword and sixty thousand horsemen. The equivalent today is the armed citizen who understands what he is defending and why. Every civilization that forgot this discovered it the hard way. The ones that remembered it are still here.

Jede einzelne hatte dokumentierte Entwurmungspraktiken. Jede einzelne.
Kontaminiertes Wasser. Unzureichend gegartes Fleisch. Erde. Tiere. Kontakt mit anderen Menschen.
Aber sie versuchten nicht, Parasiten zu vermeiden. Sie wussten, dass Kontakt unvermeidlich war.
Also entwurmten sie.
Direkt. Mit Kompression. Über Nacht.
Deshalb verwendete jede antike Entwurmungskultur Bauchwickel. Keine Getränke. Keine Pillen. WICKEL.
Tote Parasiten, Biofilm-Reste, Eier, Giftstoffe – physisch herausgespült.
Golf Twitter used to feel like the clubhouse after a Saturday morning round. Guys posting flushed 7-irons, muni sunsets, terrible scorecards, gear talk, funny stories, and the occasional completely unhinged swing tip from a 12 handicap.
Now it’s the Burnerverse.
An entire ecosystem of anonymous accounts pretending to be rich tough guys with all the answers.
Every avatar is sunglasses in a truck. Every bio reads:
“Scratch. Markets. Violence. Cigars.”
And somehow every single one of them:
Hits it 340
Is a plus handicap
Makes seven figures
Trains MMA
Has insider sources
Knows how to fix pro golf
Thinks everyone else is soft
And would “absolutely say this to your face”
Sure, man.
Every conversation immediately turns into a blood feud about TV ratings, ball speed, legacy, or whether Tiger secretly controls world finance.
Meanwhile the actual soul of golf gets buried.
The walk.
The early tee time coffee.
The miracle 5-iron.
The random retiree you get paired with who tells stories for four hours.
The one flushed shot that keeps you coming back after shooting 92.
That’s the stuff that made golf Twitter fun in the first place.
The Burnerverse doesn’t actually love golf. It loves status. Golf is just the costume.
Because if you truly love this stupid game, you eventually realize golf humbles everyone. Eventually your swing leaves. Your putting disappears. You snap hook one into a pond in front of people you respect.
Golf strips everybody down eventually.
You are not edgy.
You are not cool.
You’re just another idiot trying to flush one before the sun goes down.
peak weekend activities:
- taking your mom out for lunch in the sun
- driving somewhere you've never been with one buddy, windows downs
- randomly walking into a store and immediately finding a jacket you love (this is your first time ever "shopping" for yourself)
- art gallery exhibition showing emerging local artists, you find a piece you really love and actually buy it
- getting lost in a classic book and understanding why it's considered a must-read
- crunching some work then taking low-dose psilocybin and hitting the zoo, vibing with the other monkeys
- treating it like any other day and crushing work, then hitting gym and sauna
- buying a new phone (always peak)
- getting really experimential with your nootropics and learning something but mentally noting not to do it again
- going out for the day, coming home and your apartment has been cleaned (you forgot it was today but timing couldn't be better)
- crushing work in the morning, then you get a call and your new 911 gets delivered
- ripping davidoff cigarillos and throwing darts
- finally listening through that one artist's new album and finding almost all song to be bangers
- going out on your buddy's boat and getting drunk on quality liquor, then taking a girl out on a jetski (she's never been on one before)
- going to the farmers market with your girl and finding the best ribeyes you've ever seen, and they're not even expensive
- opening up a window in the morning and hearing birds
- playing tennis with your boys then firing up the grill and mixing negronis late into the night
- dirtbiking on sand dunes
While reading an article about fathers and sons having their first drink together, I remembered the time I took my daughter out for her first drink.
We went to a bar just two blocks from the house.
I got her a Sam Adams. She didn’t like it. so I drank it. Then I got her a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Same thing — so I drank that too. Then I tried a Blue Moon. Nope… drank that as well.
Thinking maybe she’d prefer something stronger, I ordered a Tito’s and soda. She wouldn’t touch it… so I drank it.
In desperation, I even got a top-shelf bourbon — the bar’s finest. She wouldn’t even smell it… so I drank that too.
By the time I realized she just didn’t like to drink, I was so drunk I could barely push her stroller home.
This one sentence by Leo Tolstoy contains more practical wisdom than 100 self-help books:
"A man on a thousand-mile walk has to forget his goal and say to himself every morning, ‘Today I’m going to cover twenty-five miles and then rest up and sleep.’"
Life is amazing:
-gyms exist
-Coke Zero exists
-hot girls outnumber even moderately put-together dudes 2000 to 1
-every food item in the world has been hunted and gathered for you (grocery stores)
-you and your wife can drink 4 bottles of wine then smash all night without a condom
-you and your friends can hit the gym then smoke a joint at a John Mayer concert
-you could be working 16 hour days in a coal mine in a third world country breaking your lower back for less than $1
There’s kids who live in wheelchairs. There’s kids born with disabilities. No Prom, no Shoulder Presses, no sleepovers with their best friends staying up until 2AM watching Interstellar.
And you’re not SMASHING the gym like a grateful SAVAGE!? Eating healthy 90% of the time, calling your friends for no reason, CRUSHING it in your career, asking for the promotion, asking out your crush making her your girlfriend then your wife!?
You’re spinning on a sphere in an infinite universe and the fact you’re alive is a 1 in 500 trillion MIRACLE. You’re so lucky it’s absurd and you have nothing to lose :)
Every time I meet someone who has “left Christianity,” I ask them one simple question, “Do you look at pornography?”
Every single person I can remember asking this to, without exception, admitted that they do.
They don’t really leave the faith because the Bible is “full of contradictions.” They leave because the Bible contradicts the sin they refuse to let go of.
The problem is not intellectual. It is moral. Their quarrel is not with Scripture, but with holiness. They do not walk away because truth failed them, they walk away because their desires mastered them.
Jesus said it plainly, “Everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.” John 8:34. A man does not reject Christ because he is confused. He rejects Christ because he loves darkness more than light.
So they create arguments against the Bible to protect the life they are unwilling to surrender. The conflict is not theology. It is the heart.
The Pope Dies and Goes to Heaven...
The Pope dies and, naturally, goes to heaven. He's met by the reception committee and, after a whirlwind tour, is told that he can enjoy any of the myriad recreations available.
He decides that he wants to read all of the ancient original text of the Holy Scriptures, and spends the next aeon or so learning the languages. After becoming a linguistics master, he sits down in the library and begins to pore over every version of the Bible, working back from the most recent "Easy Reading" to the original script.
All of a sudden, there is a scream in the library. The angels come running to him, only to find the Pope huddled in a chair, crying to himself, and muttering, "An 'R'! They left out the 'R'”.
God takes him aside, offering comfort and asks him what the problem is. After collecting his wits, the Pope sobs again, "It's the letter 'R'... the word was supposed to be CELEBRATE."
Even Christians temporarily go down this path in a “grass is greener” moment sometimes and realize 2 unnerving truths about the human condition that Christ Himself called out on earth:
1: Earthly means of fulfillment are infinitely deep black holes which lack catharsis AND cost you a piece of yourself by participating in (every action has a spiritual energy expenditure attached to it, of which energy you only have a limited amount attached to the day, and how you spend it, changing you in proximity to the Lord or away from Him)
2: You begin to understand what “hell” feels like. It is a place, it has a shape as any place would. But, simultaneously, detachment from the positively efficacious exposure to the Uncreated Light burns you as well as causes you to mourn what God could have turned you into… if only you would have let Him. It is never too late as long as you are alive on earth, but after that, your only hope is anyone great enough to pray for you long after you’re gone… and people do not remember the dead if it were not for the Church doing it for them.
>be me, James Cameron, 19 years old in the swinging '60s
>stuck in boring Canadian high school, but brain's a volcano of sci-fi fever dreams
>one night, bam - vivid nightmare/vision of a bioluminescent forest teeming with flying lizards and ethereal creatures, glowing like God's own rave party
>wake up sweating, grab pencil and paper, sketch the shit out of it: towering trees linked like neural networks, blue-skinned aliens with cat-like grace, the works
>stash the drawings in a drawer, thinking "someday this will be epic," but life's a grind - drop out of college, drive trucks for cash while doodling more alien worlds on napkins
>fast forward to '70s, still a nobody, pour heart into short films like Xenogenesis: bioluminescent planets, sentient trees, crippled heroes mind-linking with aliens - sound familiar?
>scrape together $20k from dentist investors (lol), make a demo reel that lands me gigs in Hollywood, but the big dream simmers on the back burner
>'80s hit, direct Aliens and The Abyss - dive deep into underwater lore, invent new tech for liquid metal effects, but Pandora's still whispering in my ear
>early '90s, after Terminator 2 blows minds with CGI T-1000, think "tech's almost there for my blue cat people"
>1994-95, write an 80-page "scriptment" for Project 880 (Avatar's code name): paraplegic marine jacked into alien body, corporate greed vs. indigenous harmony, floating mountains, the full eco-allegory mashup of Pocahontas and Dances with Wolves in space
>but CGI sucks ass—looks like PS1 graphics, uncanny valley hell—shelve it, do Titanic instead, which overruns to $200M+ and nearly bankrupts Fox, but wins Oscars and prints money
>2000s roll in, tech evolves: Gollum in LOTR, King Kong's mocap—time to resurrect the beast
>2005, pitch Fox on Avatar, they're scarred from Titanic PTSD, say "prove it won't suck our wallets dry"
>they cough up $10M (about $15M today) for a proof-of-concept reel—build custom mocap rigs, early Na'vi designs with creepy long necks and V-backs, shoot a 3-4 min forest sequence with biolum glow and tense Na'vi-human stare-down
>it's rough, like high-end video game cutscene, but shows photoreal potential—Fox execs watch, jaws drop, but still hesitate
>October 2006, rights briefly lapse, shop it to Disney—Fox panics, exercises first refusal, greenlights with $237M budget (real talk: closer to $280-310M with overruns, plus $150M marketing, total gamble ~$500M)
>challenges stack like Hallelujah Mountains: invent Fusion 3D cameras from scratch, simulcam for real-time CGI directing, massive 10k sq ft server farm chewing 17GB per CGI minute
>hire linguists for Na'vi language, actors train in Hawaiian jungles for authenticity, enforce vegan set cuz eco-vibes—traffic light outside producer's office stays yellow for months ("we're fucked" mode)
>studio freaks over costs, Cameron defers fees, pours own millions back in, brings in UK financiers to split risk—nearly bails to indie route
>plagiarism lawsuits hit: artists claim he stole ideas—Cameron pulls out teen sketches and '70s scripts in court, wins big, proves it's his soul-child from day one
>2007-09 production hell: Weta Digital's 900 artists slave away, reshoots galore, Cameron bets career—"if this flops, I'm done"
>offer Matt Damon 10% profits for lead—bro turns it down, misses $250M+ payday when Avatar drops Dec 2009 and shatters records: $2.9B gross, redefines 3D cinema, spawns MCU-level VFX revolution
>but wait, sequels? Cameron plans four more from jump, writes 'em all at once—improbable af, delays for tech upgrades (underwater mocap for Way of Water)
>2010s: build Lightstorm empire, dive to Mariana Trench for inspo, fight endless delays from script polishes and pandemics
>Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) drops after 13 years—$350M+ budget, critics sneer "blue people again?" but hauls $2.3B, proves franchise immortal
Neil, there is a logic flaw in your little aphorism that seems quite telling. Since you and I are part of the Universe, then we would also be indifferent and uncaring. Perhaps you forgot, Neil, that we are not superior to the Universe but merely a fraction of it. Nice day, indeed
you just need 1 pair of balls
in an entire bloodline
to change the lives of thousands of your descendants, forever.
example:
napoleon's dad left his family with so much debt after he died,
that the family were hoping the french revolution could stir things up enough
to somehow relieve them of their debts.
napoleon was the only corsican to hold an artillery commission in the french army,
and sometimes had to skip meals in order to afford books through his teenage years.
he was teased for coming from a "conquered nation",
and for being among the poorest of his classmates.
despite this,
of his 7 siblings who survived infancy,
napoleon managed to lift his brothers & sisters to becoming:
- 3 kings
- a queen
- 2 sovereign princesses
He bought his mother a chateau on the seine,
& gave her an annual salary of 1 million francs.
when asked why she was still so frugal despite her new income, she replied,
"Who knows,
one day I may have to find bread for all the kings I've borne"
titles of the house of bonaparte include:
- Emperor of the French
- King of Italy
- King of Spain
- King of Holland
- King of Naples and Sicily
- King of Westphalia
- King of Rome
- Prince of Elba
- Prince of Andorra
- Grand Duke of Berg and Cleves
- Prince of Lucca and Piombino
- Prince of Canino and Musignano
- Prince of Montfort
- Duke of Guastalla
- Count of Meudon
- Count of Moncalieri
- Prince of Parma
- Prince-President of France
- Noble Patrician of Tuscany
- Duke of Reichstadt
- Count of Saint-Leu
- Countess of Lipona
- Grand Constable of France
- Protector of the Confederation of the Rhine

nigga.
for a bad day you usually get through bt being active and having a good diet:
- lift heavy weights
- 100g creatine
- 200g protein
- 100mg nicotine
and also constant reminders to self:
- absolutely no one cares about how you feel
- your younger self had such high hopes on you
- your future self fully depends on you
- who else gonna carry the boat
The Bible is a children's book
It has to be because we just aren't ready for all that sauce
You don't get to eat the whole apple
Our Father's ways are not our ways and yet still he loves us
It is meant to be read through the eyes of a child
Thought Corruption keeps you from seeing truth. It makes you believe you are God. You can never be God so you turn into The Idiot
Stories and metaphors bypass this and plant seeds of wisdom and knowledge that blossom over time
This gives you strength and perseverance
We walk by faith, not by sight
The Retards shall inherit the earth
In the depths of my despair I looked out onto the horizon, and a short bus drove past me.
It was in this moment that everything changed. Sudden Satori. Eureka Enlightenment.
My truest mentor, my guiding light.
Looking inward at what I had allowed myself to become, a habitual state of practicality and overthinking, a calloused soul, beyond this facade I had created for myself, I found deep within me dwelled an invincible retard.
The best way to fix one of the most common swing tendencies I come across from golfers...
The "Sway & Tilt" pattern
When your lower body moves excessively away from the target & the upper body tilts towards the target
This movement causes a lack of body rotation, no depth to the arms & normally results in a big over the top movement
If you have this pattern, here's a drill to fix it
