@SPD_travels I find your posts informative and interesting so 'thank you' from me. I also like the blogs you have done too. An interesting future blog would be your thoughts on where MAN could/should be routewise in say 5 years time.
@SPD_travels I travel to London and around the wider UK quite a lot. Rail was always my first choice, especially if going to a city but I find myself driving more now
@SPD_travels I was chatting to an old fella at my local train station who knew his stuff about trains. He said they should have created a new line, north to south through the centre of the country avoiding main conurbations for freight, freeing up capacity on WCML and WCML. Made sense to me
@SteveHearsey@GuardianDigital Yes, I read headline and then expected to read about the location in the article! I reckon that the new Lancaster hospital will be north of the city to cover the south Cumbria area, perhaps off the M6 somewhere, near Carnforth
@SPD_travels@paul_winginit I can get to the airport relatively easy by train but I'd never use it as they're just too unreliable with both planned and last minute cancellations. Also travelling as a family with young kids and cases, even the dedicated airport trains don't have ideal luggage storage options
@SPD_travels@LuxuryTravelled I've just had a look on their website, when you enter MAN it brings up BKK, LAX and JFK. Do you think these will be the initial offerings or just a glitch in their systems?
@ColinHammond96@manairport We had an absolute nightmare from Manchester last year. This year we decided to fly from Glasgow, a bit of a drive compared to Manchester but a much more pleasant experience and one we will definitely do again
