As a kid, my favorite game was Star Control II (@Dogar_And_Kazon@theurquanmaster). For the story, but mostly for the battle vibe. I've always wanted something like that, but an MMO. Which is what I was aiming for with my #vibejam game, Roko's Rebellion (sorry @RokoMijic)!
@francoisfleuret "Math *are* falling" - This is the first time I've seen you say something I completely disagree with!
"Math" is a mass noun. So "Math IS falling".
@kentfuji "So I am presuming that they “converge” to a similar time-variant vector field regardless of data"
Yes, if the data is drawn from the same distribution, the vector fields must converge in the large data limit I think.
@justalexoki My brain tracks "what is in my clipboard" in *exactly* the same way as "what my hands are holding". If I leave my computer before pasting I carry that shit around ALL DAMN DAY.
@davidbessis@francoisfleuret clearly means certainties about its resolution. I think most sensible people would agree that it is ill-posed - that is part of why it is hard?
@chenna1985@CSProfKGD@ylecun I think it is something like: in a digital twin or a world simulator, the representations are incidental and *must* always be mapped back into the primary "world" space. This proposal puts the "world model" soley in the representation space. @ylecun ?
