@PhillyD Oof... Yes! I love my kids!! But I don't need to become a parent recruiter to feel better about or justify my choice that have them. Some people cannot or should not procreate and pushing it on them is ridiculous and often cruel.

@LindzPhoto @cmclymer Same here.... as a teacher, I usually get sick so many times throughout the year...teaching was Hell this last year for so many reasons but not having a single cold or flu was wonderful! I'm trying to figure out how to teach next year with a mask.

@BuzzBirth @drei3543 @PhillyD Education is a partnership between students, parents, teachers, school leadership, govt. Often, teachers get blamed for failure of education when it's usually a combo of the above. Not saying there aren't bad teachers, just that they shouldn't always take on the full blame.

@drei3543 @BuzzBirth @PhillyD Your original thought was about paying teachers based on metrics. We can say what you mention above, but if the student/parent choose to fail, it's still teachers getting punished if they are graded on the metrics of failures/passes.

@BuzzBirth @drei3543 @PhillyD You have obviously not been a teacher in the last ten years. Many students and their parents expect passing grades regardless of the lack of effort. We are in a culture who now idolizes stupidity and laziness. You can't force people to learn. And no unions in my state.
