"Will Elon Musk keep funding Twitter’s most interesting side project? Jack Dorsey wanted Bluesky to decentralize Twitter. Its future under Musk’s pared-down company looks shaky" https://t.co/tjKQQzRZvr via @Verge
Dear Justice Alito: You’re on the Supreme Court in part because Congress expanded the Court to 9 Justices. Congress can impeach Justices and can in many cases strip the Court of jurisdiction. Congress has always regulated you and will continue to do so. You are not above the law.
Just chatted with a guy in his mid-30’s. He wants to get involved politically & have an impact. He’s sick of both parties, thinks our political system is broken, & believes we need major reform. I agreed on all of it, but told him that’s what’s so weird about this moment. We do need another party or two, we do need major political reform, but right now NOTHING is more important that defeating Trumpism. It’s a clear & present danger to our democracy. So that’s got to be our sole focus for the next 16 months. And if we succeed, we can tackle the other stuff after 2024. He kind of sort of agreed. What a crazy time this is.
Andrew Gillum: "Now, I'm not calling Mr. DeSantis a racist. I'm simply saying the racists believe he’s a racist."
Florida's next governor is on fire right now.
@MarlowNYC They all seem to have that in common, failed writers like @bannon_2024 as well,
As Clooney said
"Steve Bannon is a little wannabe writer who would do anything in the world to have had a script made in Hollywood. He wrote one of the worst scripts I’ve ever read—and I’ve read it"
Speaker McCarthy really pulled a fast one on Donald Trump. There is no such thing as an “expungement of impeachments” in the Constitution. History books won’t report it, no records will be erased, and nothing will be sealed. It’s a glorified press release with a meaningless vote.
Let me simplify this:
DeSantis is saying any corporation that does anything Republicans don't like, will now be investigated by the state for supposedly breaching responsibility to shareholders, because of potential revenue loss from Republicans not buying their products.
Happy 77th wedding anniversary to President and Mrs. Carter! 77 years ago today (that’s 7/7!), young Jimmy Carter hit the jackpot when he wed the love of his life, Rosalynn Smith! Four 7s are pretty lucky, even if you’re not in Vegas. #HappyAnniversary #7777 #LuckyInLove
Marjorie Taylor Greene got kicked out of the Freedom Caucus for calling Lauren Boebert a little b*tch, which is no different from Steve the security guard walking a disorderly Jerry Springer guest off stage or a violent orangutan being placed in solitary confinement at the zoo.
I hope everyone in Florida is aware by now, that @GovRonDeSantis removed everyone from the vote by mail registers, and if you want to vote by mail, you have to re-apply for a ballot! Just our Governor, once again, making our lives as miserable as possible! #VoteBlue
Elon had also issued a public notice that @NarativTv’s entire archive on Twitter would be deleted as a cost-saving measure, and yet today, the entire archive was fully-restored.
After several weeks of public begging and private lobbying. Elon Musk has suddenly reinstated Narativ’s permissions to go live on Twitter without even so much as a word. Maybe he’s too busy suing Mark Zuckerberg to say anything.
