@ryxcommar Do you have a take on “data governance?” Is it a real thing or just a way for folks to outsource their accountability for data availability and quality/integrity risk?
the real tragedy of american urbanism is that our cities with great weather year round are mostly car dependent and the ones with freezing cold winters are walkable
@JakeMcKenna6 @RebeccaMadison_ I’m not trying to push my own lifestyle on others - I’m just saying it’s hypocritical to think eating dogs is immoral because they’re smart/loyal/make good pets and be okay with killing/eating pigs. And if you don’t want drama you should consider getting off Twitter
@Hghtower42 @RebeccaMadison_ It’s an arbitrary cultural feature is my point. Before I was a vegetarian I lived in Italy and ate horse meat a lot - it was fantastic! Friends back home in America thought it was savagery
People say that Walker paying for girlfriends abortion when he claims abortion is murder makes him a hypocrite. But he actually threatened to murder other members of his family who had already been born. So the claims of hypocrisy don’t add up.
@mikeduncan have you been following the Chilean constitutional convention at all? What’s your perspective on how it compares to events covered in Revolutions? I would totally listen to a podcast where you use history to contextual current events but can see that being fraught
@punk6529 The hypothesis is that asymmetric information makes the market for RE inefficient compared to digital assets. But I wonder if that’s really the case?
@crashfrog @EmpireFiles@AbbyMartin Article 3 establishes the judiciary, and Marbury v Madison established the precedent of judicial review. So eliminating judicial review requires that a constraint on power be codified anyway….hence the conclusion that constitution should be amended, not abolish the SC
@Scholars_Stage This seems pretty chauvinistic. The over-culture problem here is that it causes anyone to feel shame or embarrassment for not being “manly.” Peoples’ worth in society shouldn’t be determined by their gender role.
@alexisohanian Can’t both things can be true? Monetary/fiscal policy has clearly been expansionary to say the least (which is the correct policy response IMO) and inflation exacerbated by supply chain/commodity disruptions. So institutions are saying “this is the best we can do”
