OLYMPIC champion, Medical Affairs onc. First born in US from parents escaping communism. My kids swam. Olympic and American record holder. Dr. George DiCarlo
@Braden_Keith@swimswamnews He's got a 14:30 1650, 15:17 1500 is not reflective of that short course swim. I'll still stand on his turns for short course being a benefit.
Would be nice to see him in 400free in LA '28. Who's the last American to win that?
Steve lived across the street from me in Tom Grahams house with Godwin Turk.
I was in high school and he'd throw footballs a mile down the street to be.
Great player. Tell Him congratulations
I bet he doesn't know that that high schooler went on to win 2 ncaa titles went to world championships and the Los Angeles Olympics winning gold and silver.
Tell him hello
@DataRepublican is it true that democrats through NGO's are providing money incentives to TSA agents to not show up for work creating more pain for the flying public?
Have you seen any data on this?
@goldmedalmel It's usually fear about future expectations. It's about tomorrow. What will people expect if this race is spectacular. The help is knowing your friends and family are not going to change, and 2 billion Chinese don't care at all. Tomorrow is never guaranteed.
@ChefGruel Prolly try elk or antelope with pork in this one. We've got an elk favorite but I'm intrigued cooking the onions a bit and changing from panko to bread. I've got sourdough
@ChefGruel Will you had me until cook in plastic wrap wrapped inside foil.
Maybe parchment then foil. But hard stop.
I'll try it without the cooking in plastic. Looks so good. Everything else has been incredible
#Olympics2026 fun fact from any games. You win a medal any kind, you then meet 4 people 3 of whom you've never met the other a team Dr who then watch you pee in a cup.
Memories
In 1984 the swimming was at USC, it's a no alcohol campus. The drug test area had a special permit to serve beer. First event no beer, lots of other hydrating drinks, after the last race beers were very welcome. In 10 months of hard training I could count the number of beers I had on one hand before then.
Winter Olympics opening ceremony in Italy.
Here's a look back to the 1984 games in Los Angeles.
Good thing I swam on day 5 so I could attend.
