@45PedroMartinez 1-command
2-movement
3-velocity
THAT’S the order of importance to get outs and win games and also the order you should learn them but everyone thinks #3 is #1.
@TylerOsik@HittersUniv This barrel is being pushed and delivered IN FRONT of the back shoulder. Get more hand depth. Like the length of stroke drill out front though, we do something similar which really helps adjustability when fooled.
@TroyPSilva On his front side like crazy BUT…the very rare exception of a player who can do that but STILL can blur the barrel behind him. That deep blur is also called “barrel depth”.
@TheSports_Shift This is a REAL test of who knows the NFL. There is only one. Most won’t even know him and bonus points is you remember his nickname and what he did to opponents helmets!
@TewksHitting All barrels “turn”. The vital question for hitters is, does it turn quickly around a knob that serves as a fixed hinge point, or does that hinge point slide as the barrel turns and gets up to speed? One way is how you definitely want to do it and the other way is definitely not.
Anyone on #hittingtwitter have the video they used in the Arod vs. Alex documentary that was a view from his backside? He was in pinstripes so was def a home game @HyattCraig
@SangilloJohn One of the many things misunderstood and explained incorrectly in the world of hitting.
“Down” when shown with the hands to demonstrate bat path, which most do, is terrible.
“Down” when shown with the decompression of the lats on the backside, which noone does, is GOLD.
