A novel field diagnostic device, based on advanced, bio-sensing technologies to tackle viruses causing epidemics in swine farms EU H2020 funded project
The new SWINOSTICS 2nd improved prototype ready for testing
Parallel prototype is ready and under final testing. Will be shipped Friday 6/11 to Athens for biological lab tests
- 10 PICs ready and under functionalisation. 5 pcs against PCV2 & PVV and 5 pcs against CSF & PRRS.
News from Consortium: The @swinostics final review took place on the 20th of January 2022!
It was a remote event, due to the pandemic
Thank you all for your participation!

News from consortium: LUME team is working on the chip surface functionalization. At the end of the procedure, the chips will be used for the analysis, of pig saliva samples, in the different Swinostics pilots.
Stay tuned!

- Replicas are ready. Waiting for optical cables to arrive next week. Then, the devices will be shiped.
- ASF detection successful in LUME environment
- User manual under preparation. To be ready by the time pilots get their devices.
SWINOSTICS Device replicas are under production. Some parts still need to arrive from the manufacturers. The plan is to have all devices ready and tested by end of February.
The field tests will begin!
.-LAB TESTING BEFORE GOING LIVE
For SIV detection using monoclonal antibody:
MA5-17101 โ Influenza A NP Monoclonal Antibody (9C11) โ From tInvitrogen
ย
In that case we got 4 different virus samples, all of them from AUA:
Influenza H
Influenza H PEG 6000
Influenza A
Influenza C

We tested 3 different ASFV samples (in PBS1x buffer at a dilution factor of 1/10) against PIC functionalised with M.11.PPA.I17AH2 antibody and the sensing results were unsuccessful
