@BrogleJan plus, I can run EAP wherever I want and I don't have to put my hands on the wheel, it's also Level 2, so it shows malicious intent of ASTRA. Probably Albert Rosti trying to help his hideous German brands and their disastrous sales... FSD is an unfair advantage.

@BrogleJan Agreed, I would add that the silly hands-on requirement is dangerous. FSD has better reaction time than a human, therefore a human would significantly lag the system when it turns the steering wheel rapidly or even during parking where the wheel spins even faster.

Heute Antwort vom ASTRA auf meine BGÖ-Folgefragen zu Tesla FSD erhalten.

Die wichtigsten Punkte:

• Tesla hat in der Schweiz noch keinen Antrag gestellt, die RDW-Typgenehmigung anzuerkennen. Der Ball liegt also bei Tesla.

• Ein erster Quartalsbericht zu den Testfahrten wurde eingereicht. Inhalt: Geschäftsgeheimnis. Tesla testet also bereits in der Schweiz, nur ohne Öffentlichkeit.

• ASTRA hält an der Hands-on-Pflicht fest. Begründung: Ein Eingreifen müsse «ohne Zeitverzug» möglich sein. Bemerkenswert: keine völkerrechtliche Begründung. Es ist damit schriftlich dokumentiert eine reine Ermessensentscheidung.

• Gleichzeitig erlaubt dieselbe VRV beim Einparkassistenten sogar das Verlassen des Fahrzeugs (Art. 3 Abs. 3bis). Die «kein Zeitverzug»-Logik gilt also erkennbar nicht absolut.

• Und bei AmiGo (PostAuto/Baidu) erlaubt ASTRA Hands-off, begründet mit Level 4 und Entlastung von der Beherrschungspflicht. Wozu dann dort der Supervisor?

Positiv: ASTRA prüft einen Antrag, sobald einer vorliegt.

Überraschend finde ich die Aussage, die Hands-on-Pflicht verhindere die Vorteile hochentwickelter Systeme nicht. Auf welcher Faktenlage beruht das? Die RDW hat FSD über längere Zeit intensiv geprüft und als sicher bewertet. In Europa wurden inzwischen über 50 Mio. km mit FSD gefahren, ohne nennenswerte Unfälle.

Ich halte die Haltung des ASTRA bezüglich der Hands-on-Pflicht für falsch. Jetzt ist Tesla am Zug: Ein Antrag, gestützt auf die RDW-Prüfung und Demo-Fahrten, könnte die Sachlage entscheidend verändern.
