Unfortunately, Nigeria’s leaders don’t understand the gravity of what is happening under their noses.

In 2014, 181 Nigerian-trained doctors joined the UK medical register.

By 2022, 1,616 left in ONE year alone.

Today, between 8,000–12,000 Nigerian-trained doctors are practising in the UK.

That’s just the UK.

But the most painful part isn’t the doctors leaving.

It’s the mothers who will wait longer in emergency rooms.

The children in the North who may not even have a single Doctor in their clinic.

The communities with fewer trained hands.

When the system fails, the ordinary Nigerian is the one that pays the price.
