Middle-earth lost some truly legendary voices and faces — These unforgettable performers helped bring Middle-earth to life, leaving behind characters and moments that fans still remember years later 🙏
• Sir Christopher Lee played Saruman, the once-wise White Wizard whose fall into darkness became one of the most powerful parts of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films.
• Sir Ian Holm played Bilbo Baggins, giving the character warmth, mystery, fear, and heart as the older hobbit still carrying the weight of the One Ring.
• Alan Howard provided the haunting voice of Sauron, helping make the Dark Lord feel terrifying even when his presence was mostly unseen.
• Bernard Hill played King Théoden of Rohan, delivering one of the saga’s most emotional performances, especially through his courage, grief, and final ride into battle.
• Barry Humphries voiced The Great Goblin in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, adding a memorable and theatrical presence to one of Bilbo and the dwarves’ early dangers.
Their work became part of cinema history, and their performances continue to live on through every rewatch, every quote, and every fan who still feels the magic of Middle-earth.
Thank you for the memories, the emotion, and the legendary characters.
Rest in peace 🕊️
Encouraging news on Jim Ross: the 74-year-old WWE Hall of Famer and AEW commentator says he's heading home from the hospital after an extended stay. "Going home this Tuesday! Had a great phone visit with Steve Austin today. Biz is picking up!" he wrote on X. Last week, on what he called Day 22 in the hospital in Norman, Oklahoma, he told fans, "Don't count me out just yet. I'm still fighting!"
That time a kid jumped the barricade to hug Stone Cold and security dragged the kid back to his seat and Stone Cold gave him a high five anyway.
What a heartwarming moment.
