Stained Glass Fractions 🪟 Junior Four worked exceptionally hard to create these beautiful fraction art pieces ✂️ After creating their art, they had to produce a written explanation about the fraction of shapes and colours they used 🎨

PARROT ART 🦜 Prep 2 worked incredibly hard carefully cutting each individual feather for their beautiful pieces ✂️🪶 we used this mostly as an end of day activity to round off our day with some calm time 😌

Prep 2 wrote newspaper articles all about our Jubilee Sports Day at the beginning on May 🗞🏑🥌

After reading George’s Marvellous Medicine, Prep 2 were challenged to design a new front cover for the book 📚

Prep 2 have been expanding their character-description vocabulary ✍🏼 this station allowed them to pair physical and personality adjectives to a range of characters, and led to really interesting discussions 🗯

Prep 2 have also been enjoying our water animal habitat with a range of aquatic animals and some sensory orbeezs 🌊 #tufftray #learnthroughplay

Prep 2 will be searching through the soil to try and find all 20 of the hidden bugs 🐜 🐞 this station brings together their ‘Animals’ topic, and helps them practice their fine motor skills to pinch them from between the rope 🤏

ARCTIC ANIMALS ❄️ Prep 2 loved exploring this set-up filled with arctic animals today! With shaving foam snow and some colourful reusable ice cubes to set the chilly scene 🐧🐋 they also had an extra challenge to see if they could build an igloo out of the cubes 🧊

Prep 2 have been learning all about animals around the world for their topic this term 🌎 we’re testing our new maths learning too by working out the area of the footprints and then guessing which animal left the prints 🐈‍⬛🐻🐎🐅🐥
