₹650 crore drug purchase scam accused ex-DGHS ready to turn approver

Dr. Vatsala Agarwal, former DGHS (Health Services) who was arrested, has expressed willingness to become a government approver in the ₹650 crore medicine/medical equipment procurement scam.

If the court grants her approval, the roles of many influential people & politicians involved in the purchase process could come under scrutiny.

Sources say if she becomes approver, she can expose many political & private persons who are closely linked with Rekha Gupta Govt.

Purchases allegedly made through Central Procurement Agency (CPA) at rates far above market value , irregular profit passed to firms via middlemen and fake invoices; scope of the probe may exceed ₹650 crores

Main accused Rajiv Rangila is still absconding & reportedly fled abroad , agencies checking his foreign links, financial transactions and other names in the tender chain

Convenor of its economic cell in Delhi BJP and Son of former BJP MLA from Delhi’s Trinagar constituency, Nand Kishore Garg.
The ED recorded that it has attached properties of Mr. Garg, his family members and firms owned by him, valued at ₹940.77 crore. Officials from the probe agency said the ill-gotten money from the app was routed into companies controlled by the Ebix Group chairman.
