We’re reimagining a 50-year-old interface - the mouse pointer - with AI. 🖱️
These experimental demos show how people can intuitively direct Gemini on their screens using motion, speech, and natural shorthand to get things done 🧵
AI has stopped being a feature and started being the foundation.
We're excited about a new wave of startups rebuilding software, services, and silicon— and pushing AI into the physical world.

I’m so tired of people letting Trump get away with this shit. Whether it’s Joe Kent or Tucker Carlson, people whom he previously loved/befriended/employed/promoted, immediately become enemies and the worst people if they dare disagree with him. He has no concept of disagreement or debate or persuasion. It’s all or nothing. And no reporters ever say ‘but you hired these people? You were friends with these people till 10 seconds ago? You praised them when they praised you?’ Insane normalization of his abnormal, hypocritical, dishonest, deranged behavior.
We just released Gemma 4 — our most intelligent open models to date.
Built from the same world-class research as Gemini 3, Gemma 4 brings breakthrough intelligence directly to your own hardware for advanced reasoning and agentic workflows.
Released under a commercially permissive Apache 2.0 license so anyone can build powerful AI tools. 🧵↓
Today we're introducing TRIBE v2 (Trimodal Brain Encoder), a foundation model trained to predict how the human brain responds to almost any sight or sound.
Building on our Algonauts 2025 award-winning architecture, TRIBE v2 draws on 500+ hours of fMRI recordings from 700+ people to create a digital twin of neural activity and enable zero-shot predictions for new subjects, languages, and tasks.

Rebuilding the layout engine outside the browser usually means having to reinvent native text selection, screen reader support, and standard web interactions from scratch.
A foundational leap for UI engineering—really curious to see how he handles the trade-offs. @_chenglou
The tools we've spent a decade mastering (React, VDOM) are just bandaids for a fundamentally broken browser layout engine. And then he built a replacement.
Measuring text in pure TS, skipping CSS entirely, and dropping layout times from 30ms to 0.05ms is absolutely insane. 🧵
My dear front-end developers (and anyone who’s interested in the future of interfaces):
I have crawled through depths of hell to bring you, for the foreseeable years, one of the more important foundational pieces of UI engineering (if not in implementation then certainly at least in concept):
Fast, accurate and comprehensive userland text measurement algorithm in pure TypeScript, usable for laying out entire web pages without CSS, bypassing DOM measurements and reflow
As a frontend dev, fighting browser reflows feels like my entire existence. The web was built for static documents, not massive apps.
But I have to ask: if we completely bypass the DOM and CSS, aren't we just trading rendering bottlenecks for accessibility and SEO nightmares?
