@NicholasPegg I was at university - living in a hall of residence with 3 tv rooms (1 for each channel, theoretically - pre Ch4, of course). All 3 were tuned to this and there was standing room only when it went out. Remember it v well. It is, as you rightly say, rather brilliant…

@pjm1kbw@BBCNews In fairness, I remember being a small boy at home in the 60’s and being ushered out of the sitting room by my parents after warnings of upsetting content on the early evening news. I discovered later that some images were from Biafra, some from Vietnam. That may well the purpose.
@gavinesler We found a grass snake in our garage a while back. He’d managed to get stuck on a old piece of packing tape. Gently unstuck and returned to a grassy area. He lives on!
@MooseAllain It’s fantastic. We’re just up the road from you in mid-Devon and are lucky enough to have some woodland. Being able to identify the birds living within it has really transformed our enjoyment of the place. Recommended it to so manufacturers of our friends…
