All of 2nd grade got to have a fun meeting with the Inner Circle and most important of all, PHIL!! So much fun learning about the history of Groundhog Day and learn some fun facts about Phil.

Saw this post last night, and it sparked so many ideas for today! We’re currently writing silly animal narratives to go along with the story “Dogs Don’t Wear Sneakers.” Today, students started using Canva AI to create a cartoon character to match their stories— SO COOL!!!!

An ELA team I’m working with is going to have kids put their descriptions of characters and settings into @canva’s Magic Media image generator, and if the images don’t turn out like they hoped, they’re going to add more detail to their story.

I’m excited to see how it goes.
