@aayal100@annaaacha Hey Alexis! I completely agree with you. This imbalance of respect within the NCAA community of athletes needs to be acknowledged more and noticed. #ucr150@annaaacha
African Americans are constantly being ignored within college athletics though many of them benefit athletics and are great assets to the team. Some of the advantages that other athletes have, African American athletes don't receive. #ucr150@annaaacha
@bellahinostroza@annaaacha Hey Isabella, I totally agree. I think the NCAA needs to start paying their athletes correctly as they are literally using their athletes' name, image, and likeness. #ucr150@annaaacha
The NCAA has continuously ignored the wellbeing and health of their athletes. The NIL rules (name, image, and likeness) prove just that as athletes are unable to make profit and receive compensation from the NCAA using their image. #ucr150@annaaacha
@cortez85218@abhornUCRedu Hey Yvette. I completely agree. The conditions that these athletes must suffer to transfer are tough, making many athletes suffer at the institution they currently serve. #ucr150@annaaacha
The NCAA has undoubtedly proven AGAIN that they are an unorganized and unrighteous organization. College athletes are restricted in the path they choose if they want to transfer from one institution to another because the NCAA makes it difficult to do so. #ucr150@annaaacha
Fatal medical injuries, such as a concussion, go unreported within the NCAA. About 50% of these injuries go unreported. Though concussions are invisible and different, we must know how to treat them and provide a safe playing field for athletes. @annaaacha#ucr150
@Nareenclute@annaaacha The fact that an incredibly concerning medical emergency like a concussion is being UNDERreported is a bit crazy and upsetting to me. These issues should be solved together, especially by coaches and other staff.
@annaaacha#ucr150
@cortez85218@abhornUCRedu Hey Yvette. You're right. Female athletes are not receiving the same resources as male athletes. We should strive for equity. #ucr150@annaaacha
Many don't talk about the disadvantage that women in college athletics have. They are usually not thought about but the facts are here; female athletes don't receive the same resources that male athletes do. #ucr150@annaaacha
@Nareenclute@annaaacha Hi Nareen! You're so right. Signing day is an "illusion" for some athletes as it's painting as a day of commitments and future opportunities. But within this is a contract that essentially signs away an athlete's rights. @annaaacha#ucr150
Once again, the unfair and disadvantages against college athletes and their rights sheds light. Signing day is a luxury for aspiring high school athletes but signing these contracts provides pros and cons as athletes are also signing their rights away. @annaaacha#ucr150
@ChunkiBarbie@annaaacha I agree. I think itโs so unfair these college athletes are NOT being paid for their commitment to the sport. To be training and practicing everyday and playing in games just to be unpaid from it sounds displeasing to me. @annaaacha#ucr150
College athletes are currently not being paid for the hard work and effort that they are dedicating to their sport. In truth, itโs difficult to follow through with professional sports without a guarantee of being scouted. @annaaacha#ucr150
In order for college athletes to reach self advocacy and reform, communication amongst an internal or external organization is crucial. Itโs important to discuss issues, understanding, and perspective.

@Nareenclute Totally agree. The issues of college athletes and the abuse that they go through is something to be talked about! @annnaacha @abhorbUCRedu
