I present, Tekken 5 DR Tekken Ball Mode Restored!
Still more bugs to fix and smaller things missing but figured this would demonstrate most of the mode working.
Such a shame this was cut and remained unplayable for so many years.
@MakerGreen03
One more important thing I'll add. There is a genuine sadness and fear of lost media in the US. I think Japan will eventually get to that point someday but for now it seems very slow moving.
Things like the degradation of the original film for Dragon Ball Z, many video game companies deleting or losing the original source code for various games (Kingdom Hearts 1, Silent Hill 2, Ninja Gaiden 2 on 360). Luckily they put such a huge effort into the re-release (at least for Kingdom Hearts 1, and the Ninja Gaiden 2 Xbox One backwards compatibility release) that we are able to enjoy these games on modern consoles today. But Silent Hill 2 as you can google, was a buggy mess and to this day the original version is not really playable outside of the PS2 or emulation (unless you want to play a butchered version of it).
Hopefully you can translate the below images (You'll have to drop them into your AI of choice) but these are examples of Nintendo, Square Enix, and even Sony utilizing the efforts of Emulator developers, romhackers, and these communities to preserve, re-release and remake their games. This is not about who is better and who is worst. But they also see the benefit of preservation now, but it's thanks to the efforts of these modders, dumpers etc. I only just learned of these now upon searching them, but I'm sure there are many more.
The popularity of major Fighting Game titles in Asia is about the same and not much different. However, in terms of the share of TEKKEN alone, Japan 3%, and even if Asia is included, it does not reach 10%.
50% is Europe,
35-7% is North America,
and the rest is another region.
Thank you for coming, and thank you for the many fans who came from faraway countries overseas and from as far away as Japan.
It is thanks to fan communities like yours that such excitement occurred at a TEKKEN-only event and in Japan, where TEKKEN's market share is less than 3%, as if we were watching a tournament final in Las Vegas (I don't think we will ever be able to do that again in Japan).
The numerous behind-the-scenes staff members, who had been working through the various challenges from the event preparation stage, were on the verge of losing their strength and collapsing at the end of the event.
However, the event team and sports team staff were moved to tears by everyone's warm feedback.
Thank you again.
@nycfurby@nycfurby I don't have 32:9, but here's 21:9 for Tekken 5 DR Arcade on PC. Added 16:9 and the original 4:3 for comparison (with my custom pause screen implementation that's WIP).
Also supports loading HD assets from PS3 version (Note the HUD).
Tekken 5 DR Arcade PC (WIP) Testing the Following:
- 16:9 Testing (UltraWide also working!) with some bugs
- Center of Gravity Music Restored (and other music swaps)
- Practice Mode Testing
- PS3 HD Asset Importing
The bug present here where the incorrect force guard on cpu played an incorrect animation.
This video is a bit outdated as well so many of these issues have been fixed!
Tekken 5 DR Arcade PC Test (WIP)
Testing out swapping OG Tekken 5 Announcer voice and restoring Center of Gravity stage music that was missing from the Arcade and PS3 version.
This video is a bit old and the game has been stabilized to 60 fps since this was recorded.
@JinKazshima@rencoding Ball has no model atm (Invisible Tekken Ball is a bit hard to play). Otherwise fully playable once all the bugs are done getting fixed and a ball is put in.
As far as I can find this is the first functioning gameplay of this mode ever shown online!
