@sdho @uptownbpackb @rudyfunkmeyer I know The Bower in Edina had a long list of non-optional extras on top of their already high rents. Now their site lists the full cost with the “base rent” in parentheses. This was to comply with the new state law. All places should be similar, but some may not have caught up.

@sdho I used to play golf at that golf course. Pretty inexpensive place to play because it was adjacent to the airport and could be pretty loud. I can’t remember what it was called??

Somewhat off topic: Why do all the No Parking signs on Penn Ave say “Except Sunday”? What happens on Sunday??

@edinacivic @sdho NMCWD wouldn’t have a part in this. Three Rivers Park District does and I’m not a part of that organization. When the trail was planned through Edina, the France Ave crossing was considered to be problematic with the hope of a bridge or tunnel in the future. And here we are.

@sdho Not sure of the exact route. The Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail would for sure be part of this. I don’t know if it would need to be realigned or not. I’d expect Three Rivers to be a partner on the cost along with Hennepin County since France Ave is a county road.

@sdho I read 27,000 cars a day at this spot on France Ave. The other important distinction is the Nine Mile Creek Regional Trail crosses here. Even if France Ave were reduced in width someday (nothing has ever been proposed) a tunnel would still be a huge asset.

@sdho You will be pleasantly surprised. It’s a beautiful building. It’s also the new home of the Edina Art Center.

@sdho Recently while using Apple Maps I was directed to exit off 394 onto Pennsylvania Ave. Wondering if Penn Ave was once called Pennsylvania? Or if it was just a glitch.

@sdho A lot of the spec homes are purchased by executives relocating to the Minneapolis area. They want a move-in ready home, good location, good schools. They also know they may not be here long so they want something easy to sell in the future. Older homes are more of a challenge.

@sdho I believe it was the standard 10% affordable. There were two very tall (20+ stories) residential towers proposed. But mostly luxury rentals.

@sdho Interesting all the pulled projects are in the Edina school district. Macy’s site is in Richfield. Hmmmm.
