Last night I saw something so powerful in scripture

It was captured in the story of FEARFUL Peter already sinking as he looked at the waves and the raging waters

But then He said three words

“Lord save me”

“Help my unbelief”

So Peter looked at the raging storm around him and like any natural person, he became Alarmed

And sometimes we are told that if we get scared or if we panic then we are not even worthy of Gods help

They make it look like God is this tyrant waiting to bash you once you feel fear

It seems like God will get so angry with us and turn His back

But I think Peters prayer is the clear example that God is not mad when you get afraid

He is waiting to see what you will do in your fear

It was then the Holyspirit breathe these words into my heart

Trust is not a feeling

It’s a choice

It’s a very intentional decision to look at the overwhelming evidence and still believe that somehow, God will come through

God is that loving father waiting to see that even in your fear

Even when the evidence is overwhelmingly negative

You can still look back to Him and cry out in your pain

He is waiting to see if you will look back at Him and say Lord I am terrified but I’m still looking at you

I love it most when it says “IMMEDIATELY Jesus took his hands”

This is the confidence we have, that as long as we can still cry out to Him, He’ll always stretch out His hands.

I pray for you

That your miracle will come IMMEDIATELY!
