hi everyone😁
for 16 days of activism, @taafoundation_ is working on a story telling campaign called “what were you taught” where we ask women about gendered religious messages. i’d really value your participation🙏🏼🥹
we have received 11 responses.
the BEST part about this form/request is that it is completely anonymous. people share their stories ANONYMOUSLY.
11 responses so far but ZERO IDEA who these people are. a safe space 💕
faith can shape how we we understand the world and our place in it. for 16 days of activism,@taafoundation_ wants to hear from women how faith/religious community influenced their understanding of what being a
"good woman" means. it doesn't have to be negative
Our work will ask difficult questions, listen closely to women's experiences, generate knowledge, test solutions and engage the systems and institutions that influence women's lives.
This is the beginning
…exercise agency over their lives and bodies, lead, and participate meaningfully in the institutions and communities that shape their lives.
But women's lives are not shaped by individual choices alone
That is why TAAF is building a feminist ecosystem that brings together community-rooted programmes, research, storytelling, advocacy and institutional engagement to advance women's health, power and justice
We are The Arabinrin Abike Foundation - TAAF. We are a feminist organisation advancing gender justice in society and the church.
We believe women and girls should be able to access quality healthcare, live free from violence and discrimination…
