nobody has harmed the concept of hijab more than hijabi influencer culture. every other day there's a new "modest" trend: skin- tight winners, shapewear, body-hugging layers, outfits that reveal the entire body shape, all with a hijab on top. At some point, we need to ask ourselves what exactly we're calling modesty anymore.
not everything labelled "modest fashion" is actually modest. somewhere along the way, the purpose of hijab got replaced by aesthetics, trends, and engagement.
this isn't about attacking women. It's about how influencer culture keeps redefining hijab to fit fashion instead of letting faith define it.
