@FiredUpCoug We had a good conversation later that evening and she shared more about her reservations. Some of which were real and others unfounded. In the end, I was proud she talked to him in person and did so in a respectful manner. Hope the kid isn't resentful and they can both move on

@FiredUpCoug A quick update. She responded to the young man last night. Brought his treats and his favorite drink. Went to the door and politely told thanks but no thanks. She didn't love doing it but felt relieved after the experience.

@FiredUpCoug answer him with the same amount of effort that he put in to asking her and that she do so in a manner that was respectful. It's easy to write this off as a nothing burger but it's important to me and my wife that she understand how to do difficult things with respect.
