A husband and wife were attacked by a #Pitbull in Punjab’s #Patiala. The dog pounced on them as they rang the doorbell. Both suffered multiple bite injuries and have been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
A couple was allegedly attacked by a pitbull while visiting a property in Patiala with a real estate dealer.
The husband and wife had reportedly gone to inspect a house they were considering purchasing. When they rang the doorbell, the pitbull inside the premises suddenly lunged at them and attacked.
Local residents reportedly rushed to the couple's aid and tried to rescue them. However, the dog had already inflicted multiple bite wounds on both victims.
The husband and wife sustained injuries to various parts of their bodies and were subsequently admitted to a private hospital in Patiala for treatment.
Further details regarding the incident and any action by the authorities are awaited.
SIFs are gaining momentum.
July inflows jumped 30% to ₹4,922 crore, up from ₹3,782 crore in June.
Total SIF AUM rose to ₹20,563 crore.
The interesting part:
🔥Hybrid Long-Short SIFs attracted ₹3,258 crore about 66% of total July inflows.
SIFs are still new, but the early adoption is clearly picking up.
I have received a lot of queries on whether to go overweight on Gold & Silver. One reason is both the metals have seen massive price decline from peaks and have recently started to rise.
A few thoughts...
Here is a framework to make that decision (see image 1).
Of the 5 conditions, none of them are being fulfilled at this time. So, it's probably a time to be a fence sitter.
In Rupee terms, Gold (& probably Silver) would make a lot of sense when these conditions are met. It would become highly asymmetrical if the following three conditions are also met:
1. Rupee REER goes back to more normalized levels, either through some rebound in USDINR to lower levels or through time correction.
2. There is a reduction in excise duty on precious metals. It is very hard to keep the duty at 15%+ as it causes a lot of off-market activity. Fresh buyers will have to take this hit directly when the duty is removed (if it is removed).
3. The above two conditions coincide with a decline in global Gold prices (a capitulation of sorts). This would create the most asymmetric bet of all.
Moreover, Gold & Silver haven't spent enough time or had enough price correction off their highs to qualify for a fresh bull market (see image 2).
They are still beating yield assets (like stocks and bonds) over this cycle. This negates their ability to give asymmetric upside (see image 3).
At current price levels the risk reward doesn't leave enough margin of safety although price froth is not present.

A Karnataka farmer cleared a ₹50,000 loan.
Later, Canara Bank demanded ₹9.34 balance. In a masterclass of poetic justice, he paid ₹10, demanded the 66 paise change, and reportedly threatened legal action if the bank didn't hand over the exact coins. Absolute legend! 😂
Keep your problems smaller than your life. A flat tire is a flat tire. A bad meeting is a bad meeting. A canceled flight is just an extra two hours. These things become catastrophes when you let them. But they stay manageable when you remember the depth of your real life- the people you love, the work you care about, the beautiful years still ahead. Zoom out. Fit your reaction to the size of the problem.
India must not become victim of any anti AI, anti Data center or any anti-tech protests we see in west.
This is woke mindset we must strictly deal with.
Obviously it will be covered in some “rationale looking” justification which effectively will mean, we stay in last century.
