btw ask for accountability on assam. the flood management has been terrible for a state that has to suffer through it every year. people shouldn't be normalised to the idea of losing everything again and again. and donate to the sources on the ground pls!
IT'S A VICTORY OF DEMOCRACY
direct democracy... straight from the streets.
It's a victory of peace, patience & persévérance.
Congratulations CJP, Gen Z of the nation and thank you all citizens for shedding fear and the fear of fear and rising up from every corner of the nation.
FROM ACCOUNTABILITY, NOW TO REFORMS
An important update regarding Ken Betwa Link project and Adivasis' protests. Amit Bhatnagar still continues his hunger strike and in solidarity many Adivasi families have started a chulha-band andolan, which is also a form of Hunger strike!! Please amplify this!!!!
And you'd never in your dreams even see a political party clean up after their rallies. NEVER.
They are cleaning up the same roads that served them lathis, tear gas, stones.
yes, she's the same girl. the one who broke down asking, "hum aapke bachche nahi hain kya?" (aren't we ur children)
this is how she was treated.
welcome to india, where u re worth absolutely nothing. where asking for fairness is enough to be dragged, beaten & silenced.
This is the reality of police brutality and they still have the guts to say shit like "misinformation" and that the protestors were "violent" when THEY were the ones who actually almost killed those civilian protestors. Shame
GEETANJALI SHUTS DOWN THE “STUDENTS WERE AGGRESSIVE” SPIN 🔥
REPORTER: Some videos show students being aggressive and clashing with police.
GEETANJALI: Why sensationalise this? India’s youth showed unprecedented peaceful resilience.
REPORTER: But protesters also reacted.
GEETANJALI 😡: If police fires tear gas and provokes people, you cannot highlight only the reaction. That is wrong.
REPORTER: But aggression was seen.
GEETANJALI 🛡️: Yes, police aggression. They entered our truck, tried to take Abhijeet by force, and people had to form a human chain to protect me. Imagine what ordinary students faced.
a 12 year old girl was beaten during the protest, a pregant lady was beaten during the protest, clothes of girl were torn by the police during the protest. shame on delhi police, shame on this government.
Saw this in front of me. Near the Women’s Press Corps building. Eyes still watering and skin burning right now. This is brutal. No government should be forgiven for such atrocities unleashed on the people.
Mainstream media is so controlled by the government that without social media, you wouldn't even know India is protesting for something. It's absolutely insane.
If ppl need to cross barricades just to make their voices heard if metro stations are shut, communication is disrupted and force is used against protesters then we have every right to question whether democratic values are being upheld.
if this doesn't make you furious, if this doesn't wake you up, if you don't come to your senses even after all this... you're a useless human AND a useless citizen
TBH, this is bigger than NEET now. It's about accountability, and the current government is running from it. This movement will decide whether citizens are slaves, or whether they truly have the power to hold governments accountable and change them when needed.
