She recorded it but Motown didn’t release it.
He put it on Hotter Than July with updated instrumentation.
Motown released the original in 2002 and… it’s the better version.

Bruh LL dropped in 1985 when I was 11 years old. His new album that's highly anticipated drops next month and I'm 50. That's THIRTY NINE YEARS. You don't last 39 years in ANY game without range. You can just listen to Mama Said Knock You Out as an example to his range cause each song on there captures a different vibe. Boomin System=hood anthem. Around the Way Girl=shorty anthem. Eat Em Up L & Murdergram=bars. Mr. Good Bar=bagging shorty anthem. Cheesy Rat Blue=storytelling. Illegal Search=police brutality. To Da Break of Dawn=bars and battle rap and that's just ONE album! LL could possibly be top 5 of ALL MC's when it comes to range!
