Jesus told her, “Go, close the tab you are using.”
“I am using no tabs,” she replied.
Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you are using no tabs. The fact is, you have had 56 tabs open, and the one you now have open you are not using.”
@Trent_Horn @peacemaker_tw To defend the doctrine of hell while hoping it is empty or that you are wrong is to presume you are more merciful and Just than God.
@danitreweek@BenZeisloft And God uses means, marriage is one of those means God uses. When we are struggling it is wise to lay hold of the means which God gives. That is why Paul would have younger widows in Ephesus marry, God uses it to help them from being idle busybodies.
@danitreweek@BenZeisloft What are you disputing then? “If you experience any sexual temptation” is clearly not what he wrote. The level of nitpicking is nauseating
@faithrootsDW @danitreweek@BenZeisloft If unmarried people in Corinth are giving into temptation and having sex, does not marriage solve that temptation issue?
@danitreweek@BenZeisloft Paul says he would have younger widows marry in 1 Tim 5-13 because it helps fight idleness, gossip and being a busybody. Marriage is a grace from the Lord and he uses it wonderfully to sanctify us
@danitreweek@BenZeisloft The original post did not say “if you experience any sexual temptation” but said “if you cannot exercise self-control” which is the situation you’re describing. It may surprise you but marriage actually helps in fighting not just lust but many sins.
@AvidCommentator If all the money is used for is doubling rent assistance, this is a horrific idea. When renters are given more money to spend on rent, landlords will able to charge more. Higher rental yields will make property worth more on the market, pushing home ownership further away.
@AvidCommentator A fair tax is a flat tax. The desire for stuff while making someone else pay for it is immoral and covetous. It is this covetous desire that has lead us into such large amounts of national debt, and my two beautiful young daughters will foot the bill.
