In the most recent An Tairseach blogpost we make connections between poetry and organic farming, and give a flavour of our daily work here in Wicklow, with one eye on the European context #organicfarming#poetrydayIreland@OrganicsEurope@poetryireland

As the daffodils pass, a range of classic wildflowers will start to emerge. In our older hedgerows, the first Stitchwort and Herb Robert have been seen, and Primroses too, bright legions of them on one or two ditches. It seems a little earlier than last year. #organicfarming
The pond in our conservation area, which channels an ancient stream from its nearby source, has long been a source of delight. Frogspawn this week is a beautiful validation of our work, and of the environmental renewal that remains within reach. (Frog image: @lamblittle_)
Happy Saint Brigid's Bank Holiday Weekend everyone! Brigid is a beloved saint, equal to Saint Patrick, and she has many guises: a goddess of agriculture, healing, and poetry, and a reminder of the dignity and the rights of women. She is, in other words, a national treasure!
25 years of An Tairseach were marked today with guests including Jennifer Whitmore TD, Counsellor Mary Kavanagh, and Steven Matthews TD, here with Sr Marian O'Sullivan. The Dominicans, a true eco-community, have created a beacon of environmental hope & understanding in Wicklow.

When RTE broadcasts live from Saint Patrick's Church in Wicklow Town at 11am tomorrow morning, two artworks by An Tairseach's resident artist Pauline McGrath will have pride of place. Saint Patrick and Saint Mantan, two reflective icons, two ways of imagining a better Ireland.
We'll soon be enhancing some of our larger beds with rich fertilising compost that has been generated within the boundary of our own farm and ecology centre. It's a direct boost to the health of our soil, the biodiversity we encounter every day, and the food we produce.
As Saint Brigid's Bank Holiday approaches, this is the perfect time to connect with new possibilities and new people for 2023. Our busy and vibrant Spring Events Programme, launched today, is intended to help you dig deep and get creative! https://t.co/TNjECFQP5u
In this excellent short article, when Sarah Compson says 'the trend for sustainable choices is here to stay' it chimes with our own sense of the appreciation expressed by our customers, students, partners and neighbours. @SoilAssociation@SoilAssociation
