We have been running experiments with Taiser staking, using our angel investors. They are not frequent DeFi users. They are new investors that we want (and you want) for serious projects. What are the best ways to get them into a Base / Base Eth / USDC transaction?

The Base team is offering a smart wallet that you can fund with a Coinbase account, or even a debit card. That sounds like it is useful for an infrequent crypto user who only uses a few services on one blockchain.

Our audience in this test was different. They have wallets, which they use infrequently, and some assets on Ethereum or Solana. They probably need a swap that takes in whatever they have. We can add a widget for that. This results in four transactions, which are slow to confirm even on Base - approve swap, swap, ... maybe wait for bridging or swap delivery ..., approve stake, stake. Then we should give them a gasless transaction, which requires a "paymaster" or "relayer" server on our side ...

Onboarding is a general problem for DeFi. What is worth doing and not worth doing for this audience?
