My school just went full online and I dropped out last month because I was told that I couldn’t go online part time for my disability or care assistant reasons. This is BULLSHIT.
EVERYONE, I wrote a message to my classmates online and they were so infuriated with the reason I dropped out! Look at what they did! They posted my message around the school! THIS is how you be an ally to disableds!❤️

I am disappointed and angry after receiving American Psychologist’s latest issue on the topic “Obesity: Psychosocial and Behavioral Aspects of a Modern Epidemic.” The issue contains articles by people I collaborate with, cite, and respect, making this a scary tweet to write. 1/x
You are both so amazing! One day hopefully I’ll feel confident enough to leave the house with my scars on show. For now it terrifies me. Sadly there are too many Sarah’s. Thankfully there is so much love out there too 💖 @glitter__fly17@_roisinxox
Oh, so we’re prescribing restriction and ED behaviors for one population, but then throwing others in the hospital for another? No. This is horrific. Stop treating BED with restriction & for the love of gd, stop calling it addiction.
Well written. It’s so important to talk about mental illness, especially hospitalisation and issues like psychosis. I felt a lot was in poor taste though. Like filming someone being restrained. I’ve been there and it’s traumatising enough. 😣
@OneMoreLightLB Also Psychosis. I’ve experienced that during Mania, Mixed episodes and Depression too. Often ends with me in hospital and being sectioned carries a lot of stigma.
And so so much more 😬
@OneMoreLightLB Pure rage during Mixed or Manic episodes. I’ll pace endlessly talking to myself and shouting at the walls. I’ve screamed in my sisters face, been verbally aggressive and broke objects, walls etc.
@OneMoreLightLB Loss of inhibition and impulsiveness to the level where people are scared and I’ll overshare to strangers, talking about inappropriate topics.

I wish my school would of provided the education around mental illness and the support many of us needed. Instead academic ‘success’ was priotised over basic self care and our mental health. 🤦♀️🤦
When I was 16 I was told “I was just burned out” after a suicide attempt. 3 years later I was diagnosed with Bipolar... no one should have to go through hell & back to get proper help #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek2020 😫
@KatieConibear Yeah exactly and when I’m stable I’ve had people say “you don’t look like you have bipolar” or think I’m exaggerating if they find out how unwell I was in the past. Also had someone say “why did you get yourself sectioned” as if I did it intentionally for the Lols 😂
@KatieConibear Can’t agree more. The idea of bipolar is trendy for some people but the reality is a nightmare and there is still so much stigma, especially around psychosis 😣
@Auras_Journey Been on a lot of antipsychotics and Quetiapine has been the best one by far. Been stable 7 months, gained a bit of weight but not as much as I did on Olanzapine and I don’t feel tired. Aripiprazole gave me a tremor and didn’t work. Everyone is different.
