1️⃣ In Kenya, threats to kill are a felony under Penal Code §223, punishable by up to 10y imprisonment; obtaining property/money by false pretences with intent to defraud falls under §§312–313, punishable by up to 3 years.

2️⃣ Cyber harassment under Computer Misuse & Cybercrimes Act §27 can carry up to 10y imprisonment and/or a fine up to KSh20 million, where the statutory elements are proven.

Interestingly a well known public figure tried to mediate over the past weekend.
But ogutu said he is not interested because he got defamed. So why didn’t he take me to court then?
He paid DCI for 6 months, I didn’t stay quiet & kept pushing, and now he’s the victim?

Now he has no money left because DCI asked for so much to suppress case since it went public?
