Otafiire: Let Muhoozi prove his competence beyond being Museveni’s son
In an archived statement, Gen. Otafiire called for fair competition, saying Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba should be given the opportunity to prove to Ugandans that he is competent to manage the country on his own merit, rather than being judged or elevated simply because he is President Yoweri Museveni’s son.
QUOTE: "I have heard voices in Parliament that the president should be elected by parties. Tell your colleagues who are peddling that idea that they should be humble enough to understand why those of us who framed the constitution said the president should be elected by the people with 51 percent of the population,"- Minister of Internal Affairs , Maj Gen Kahinda Otafiire.
