After years of #edtech pros sounding the alarm on #studentprivacy, the digital divide and the need for both quality online content and teacher training, COVID seems to have finally forced schools into finally taking action.
Everyone who uses #studentdata has a responsibility to maintain students' privacy and the security of their data. Check out our collection of #dataprivacy resources: https://t.co/vg6Oj3x7uG #eddata
When #studentprivacy laws require "reasonable security," what does that mean on the ground? We developed a basic checklist to help educators, parents, and administrators evaluate #edtech security: https://t.co/4x3c6jTmiv
As someone who wants to design instruction in the future, I’d love suggestions for designing physical education! I’m not working in the field yet, but I want to design effective, enjoyable, and inclusive educational experiences as much as I can
@czernie talks about how important it is to design online for your context! #pivotonline and remember that this is emergency, remote teaching, "know that what you're gonna do is imperfect, and that's fine"

This an excellent thread on inclusivity in alternative assessments during #pivotonline. Please remember to keep accessibility at the front of your mind - it will help ALL students.
@quenblackwell I had a dream my three year old daughter was on the verge of being drawn out to sea in the middle of a hurricane. She was clinging to a net while I hid the terror in my voice and tried to convince her to grab the hands reaching out to save her.
@Peter5Fischer@realDonaldTrump@nytimes@washingtonpost@theMRC@Project_Veritas I can actually distinctly remember times in 2016 when my worldview began shifting that I would just lie awake at night and argue back and forth in my head about what was right and which sources seemed trustworthy and what I believed and what I thought we should do as a nation.
@Peter5Fischer@realDonaldTrump@nytimes@washingtonpost@theMRC@Project_Veritas It’s like a full time job! I always end up getting too stressed over it, actually. I’ve even had times where I couldn’t sleep because I was so worried and frustrated. It’s hard to find a balance between being healthy and informed!
@Peter5Fischer@realDonaldTrump@nytimes@washingtonpost@theMRC@Project_Veritas Also, as a kind-of side note, I think you'd really like this article about the roles of journalism and the presidency:https://t.co/oJQr0bohkT
It has an awesome analysis of the relationship between the two throughout our history and case studies of "open" or "closed" presidencies!
