If you're a product designer, I can't recommend this enough:
- Create a personal website
- Showcase your work & case studies
- Write articles (even if you suck at writing)
It's the easiest way to get hired.
Yet, 99% of designers don't do it.
If you're looking to get your first job as a product designer, don't focus on getting clients.
Focus on getting your first 50 case studies.
The quality of your work will attract clients, not a fancy website.
5) Hustle hard.
Starting a business with no money is hard work.
This means:
- Working long hours
- Finding creative solutions to problems
- Never giving up
If you're willing to put in the work, you can build a successful startup with $0.
4) Do everything yourself.
As a broke entrepreneur, you can't afford to hire employees or outsource tasks.
You'll need to learn how to do everything yourself.
This includes:
- Product development
- Marketing
- Sales
- Accounting
