New #TalkCPR video - a real patient interaction regarding the topic of DNACPR & CPR in palliative care. Pleased to say that Kat in my clinic agreed to record our virtual consult.
An interesting discussion, incl difference cardiac arrest vs natural dying https://t.co/aB5xCrlmyL
This is @DrMarkTaubert, a palliative care doctor at Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff. He wanted to #ReadALetter to a former patient about Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, or ‘DNACPR’ forms.

I've had this conversation many times over the past few days so decided to share some thoughts.
It always feels a hard conversation, even though almost every one ends positively with the patient or family member grateful for the opportunity.
Really enjoying reading through Critical by @dr_mattmorgan written movingly about the edges of life. And pleased to find #TalkCPR gets a shout on page 86! Thanks Matt!
#TalkCPR was co-designed by patients & carers to improve dialogue between patients & healthcare professionals around DNACPR decisions.
In a new blog, @DrMarkTaubert talks about this important project, winner of our #EPCA2019 award in Quality Improvement. https://t.co/dsu2ns2oAF
Enillodd y prosiect #TalkCPR, sydd wedi'i leoli yn @VelindreCC wobr ryngwladol am Wella Ansawdd mewn Gofal Cleifion yng Ngholeg Brenhinol y Meddygon neithiwr. Llongyfarchiadau mawr i'r tîm sy'n cynnwys Cadeirydd Bwrdd y Llywodraethwyr, y Farwnes Finlay o Landaf. #MetCaerdydd
Despite all my work on promoting CPR teaching, every doctor in Wales should have a look at this website @talkcpr as a resource to point patients/families to for raising awareness of what CPR is/isn’t & how it is not always in a persons best interest #letstalkaboutdying @HEIW_NHS
