From the @Royals Game Notes:
Per Elias, Josh Rojas was the second player in franchise history to have a go-ahead hit in the 9th inning or later in his first PA with the team.
The first was JOE KEOUGH, who had a pinch-hit, walk-off single in the first game in franchise history!
OK, in this whole landscape of rotating Royals announcers, two things: Hoz clearly offers the MOST straight-up baseball insight. BUT my favorite thing of all is Ryan's sense of humor, which is ONLY brought out in its full glory by being paired with Hud.
Maikel Garcia not in the lineup but continuing to improve after the hamstring injury over the weekend. Taking ground balls at third today and expected to do some running after defense.
Reported in the pre-game via interview with Q that Maikel Garcia's hamstring strain is a grade 1. He was taking ground balls and doing some light running today. Good news.
So good to have @SarahNauser in town for Lou Gehrig day tomorrow. The Reds are honoring her tonight. We are doing a big special tomorrow. Fun to see Brady Singer and Sarah visiting

Royals are the 8th team in modern MLB history — just the 3rd in the last 50 years and the 4th in the last 70 years — to have a 3-game stretch during which they scored 2 runs or fewer while allowing 30 runs or more.
Royals were outscored, 31-2, during their stretch.
