someone off-site was never part of the deal. It is there to help referees who miss incidents or make clear and obvious mistakes - this didnโt happen! Iโve been quite supportive of VAR overall but feel that it was misused today. 3/3
The VAR decision in the Watford game today was a misuse of the system. The referee saw the entire incident and gave the foul - he had a clear, unobstructed view of the whole incident and gave the yellow card. No clear and obvious errors, he just deemed the incident... 1
... to be a yellow card incident. So VAR steps in and tells the referee to give a red card. No new evidence, nothing missed by the referee, again, no clear and obvious error. Just the VAR referee had a different opinion to the on field referee. Having the game refereed by... 2
@kerrykent2015 Hi! Itโs all about whole class feedback rather than individualised written feedback really. Children have access to more information to edit and improve their work, they can access higher level feedback by their own accord and independence and meta-cognition is developed. 1/3
@kerrykent2015 Big promotion of home reading, picture books for all ages and the brilliant VIPERS skills from @LiteracyShed which had fantastic feedback from parents. Loving the potential for conversations around books which could happen at home!
