"Craig D'Angelo worked for Northeast Utilities, now called Eversource and was one of 220 I.T. workers replaced by H-1B visa employees.
D'Angelo says his replacement, a worker from India, told him he was making half D'Angelo's salary with no benefits.
I didn't get laid off for lack of work. I got laid off because somebody cheaper could do my job.
We met with this group of workers who all had to train replacements. Leo Pereiro had just received high performance reviews from Disney when he was called into a personnel meeting.
He expected a raise and a promotion, and instead I was given the news that in 90 days my job was over and I had to train my replacement.
Never in my life that I imagine until this happened at Disney that I could be sitting at my desk and somebody would be flown in from another country.
Sit at my same desk and share and take over what I was doing. It was the most humiliating and demoralizing thing I've ever gone through in my life."

It costs an estimated $2 billion per year for Congress to operate:

- Salary $174k
- $7.6 million per year for meal reimbursements
- The MRA, the members reprisational allowance is $810 million
- MRA broken down is $1.5 million to each Congress Rep
- Majority in Minority leadership, Hakeem Jeffries and Mike Johnson, get $37 million just for them
- Actual Budget can range around $2 million per member, though some suggest it might be closer to $5 million when including all expenses
- Operational Costs: $750 million for House expenses and $250 million for Senate expenses

The Air Resources Board’s 65-cent gas price hike is a direct assault on hardworking Californians. This evening's vote is nothing short of blatant price gouging by the Newsom Administration.

This unelected group of wealthy bureaucrats, handpicked and directed by Governor Newsom, is shamelessly increasing gas prices so Californians are forced into electric vehicles against their will.

And conveniently, they pushed this costly regulation through right after the election, late at night, hoping no one would notice.
