Major piece published today from @circle. The 2025 State of the USDC Economy Report is now available. https://t.co/1phbrZATS0

What an incredible year behind us, and what a transformative year ahead for the entire stablecoin ecosystem. Some highlights:

- USDC grew faster than any other global stablecoin, surging 78% year on year, with that growth accelerating into the end of the year and continuing into the start of 2025.

- We reached an incredible $20 TRILLION in onchain transactions with USDC since our launch in 2018, with 2024 being by far the largest year ever.

- USDC has become available to over 500M end-users through the incredible array of wallet, exchange, bank and fintech partnerships that we have built.

- We expanded our partnerships and integrated with more banks, payments firms, brokerage and exchange platforms. USDC truly has unsurpassed liquidity and integration with the existing financial networks of the world.

- Since USDC's launch, we have enabled over $850 BILLION of stablecoin mints and redeems. No one else comes close.

- We reached huge regulatory milestones with Circle becoming the first global player operating under the EU MiCA stablecoin rules, and USDC the only global digital dollar available as well. Similarly, USDC became the first and only stablecoin to be available and accepted under new Canadian exchange and listing rules.

- Most important, we've seen enormous growth in our ecosystem of world-class partners building on our stablecoin network, with thousands of startups and established firms integrating USDC as the best possible digital dollar settlement network on the internet.

2025 is going to be a MAJOR year for Circle, USDC and the continued march towards mass market adoption of this technology.

If you're trying to better understand the stablecoin landscape, enjoy this report (Web UX is best, PDF as fallback).
