@IterIntellectus You don't just shut the door and let them cry until they give up you wait 5 minutes and then soothe them again. It teaches them to eventually self soothe and go to bed without fuss. Two sleep trained kids in my house right now 4 and 2 years old respectively. They don't fight bed.
