🚨 I am excited to announce that I am officially running for the Florida House of Representatives in HD-64.
I was born and raised in South Tampa, where I'm now starting my family with my wife Theresa.
I learned about toughness and grit as a linebacker for the Gators, I put bad guys in jail as a prosecutor, and I stood up for the little guy as a personal injury lawyer. Now, I'm ready to be a fighter for the people and community that I love.
We've made amazing progress in Tallahassee under Governor DeSantis, but there is still much work to be done to continue making Florida the safest, strongest, and freest state in the nation.
I look forward to earning every vote and serving the people of Tampa. 🏴☠️
Did you know? ⚽️ Legendary football player Cristiano Ronaldo (@Cristiano) was named after Ronald Reagan. "My parents named me after him because they both liked the name and thought it sounded strong. I know my father admired him."
12,000 ANCIENT ARTIFACTS SEIZED.
@CBP agents in Tampa intercepted thousands of ancient items believed to be stolen from the eastern Mediterranean including vases, age-old pottery, and archaic coins — with some dating back more than 4,000 years.
@HSITampa is now investigating and working to authenticate and return the priceless items to their rightful owners.
Democrat primary voters in New York City elected this woman over the incumbent Chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. The party has sat back for years as socialists rushed to outflank them to the left. And now they're electing people who straight up call for eradicating America.
Daraliza Avila Chevalier is a founder of CUAD.
The organization’s stated intentions is to “undermine and eradicate America,” through the use of “violence in America.”
She’s now the Democrat nominee for NY-13.
🚨 In a 6-3 vote, the Supreme Court rules that the Helms‑Burton Act itself strips Cuban state‑owned companies of sovereign immunity, allowing Exxon’s billion‑dollar lawsuit over property seized after Castro’s 1960 nationalizations to proceed in U.S. courts.
“I am proud to endorse Dan Weldon for Florida State House District 64.
I have known Dan for close to 20 years, and throughout that time I have seen his strong work ethic, his character, and his unwavering commitment to conservative values. Dan has been a conservative leader since his days at the University of Florida, where he was not only a defensive lineman but also served as president of the College Conservative Students for Florida.
I grew up in District 64 and lived there for more than 30 years, so I know this community well. District 64 is a vibrant and diverse area, made stronger by families, businesses, and residents from many different backgrounds and countries. Dan understands both the needs of businesses working to grow and thrive, and the importance of representing the people who give this district its unique character.
Dan Weldon is the right candidate to serve District 64 with strength, integrity, and conservative leadership. I am proud to support him.”
We had a fantastic conversation with Dan, and we know he will be an excellent member of the Florida State House.
He will fight for a better Florida, Dan will be fighting hard for an affordable Florida. He will improve the lives of the middle class, and take steps to make Florida even better.
He will defend Tampa, and defend Florida.

The Cuban regime's announcement on economic reforms is a clear acknowledgment that its centralized, socialist economic model has failed to provide prosperity and opportunity for the Cuban people. After decades of tyrannical government control, Cuba is now forced to embrace elements of private enterprise, private property, and investment—the very principles of free market economics that have lifted billions around the world out of poverty.
However, the question we must face is not whether Cuba should allow more private businesses or real estate development. The question is when will the Cuban people finally be given the fundamental freedoms that every human being is promised by our creator?
While any actual expansion of economic freedom is welcome, true prosperity requires more than promises of limited economic reforms. It requires political freedom, free elections, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, an independent judiciary, and the right of citizens to determine their own future without government repression. The Cuban people deserve these same freedoms enjoyed by those who have fled to the United States seeking freedom and a better life.
As a friend and neighbor of those who fled the Castro regime’s oppression, I stand in solidarity with the Cuban people, not the Cuban regime. Us Tampeños understand that the Cuban people do not need more promises from the regime, they need FREEDOM!
I will always support the people of Cuba in their fight for liberty and the Cuban Americans who continue to advocate for human rights, democratic reform, and economic opportunity for their loved ones on the island.
United States really should’ve put all of the knockout round games in SEC towns.
“Oh you wanna beat America in the round of sixteen? Great. You’ll do it in Tuscaloosa.”
When I am elected to the Florida House, I will, on day one, author and introduce legislation to ban institutional buyers and private equity giants from buying single-family homes in the state of Florida.
People live in homes, not corporations. And right now, companies that own 100 or more homes own 4% of all the housing just in Hillsborough County alone.
Florida homes must stay in the hands of Florida families.
The office I'm running for may be different, but the mission remains the same: To bring a new generation of leadership to Tampa Bay and build a future where families in our state can live in communities that are safe and affordable.
