God, help us to stop trying to fix, control, and achieve what You want us to slow down enough to receive.
We don't have to kick it into high gear. We don't need to wear our bodies ragged and our emotions into a tangled fray.
You have the answer. You are the solution.
God is in control. He’s fighting your battles; His plans for you are for good. He’s bigger than the sickness, greater than the trouble, more powerful than what’s trying to stop you.
Dear friend, soak in these words today and speak them out loud over your situation:
- God is the solution for every single one of my troubles.
- God is within me and perfectly equips me to know what to do.
- God is with me therefore there is nothing I’ll face alone.
When friends pray more words over you than they speak to you or about you...
Listen to their wisdom.
Lean into their presence.
Stand on their faith when you have trouble finding footing with your own.
And thank God for these good people.
Those unknowns in your life that keep stealing both your peace and your sleep? You don’t have to keep trying to figure those things out tonight, sweet friend.
Because God knows all things, we can rest safely in the knowledge that we don’t have to know everything.
When we put our trust in things of this world, we will always be let down, and never fully at peace. But, when we fix our gaze on God and trust that He has a plan and purpose for everything, we can experience peace and beautiful surrender.
I know how hard it is when God seems silent, sweet friend. But what if His silence is actually part of the rescue? I'm sharing about how I've seen this in my own life in my devotion "Saved by Suffering." You can read it here: https://t.co/cbHIPAJMCO
No human should have to carry the weight of being their own god, but so many of us do.
Let’s remind our hearts that God is good at being God. And we can trust Him at all times.
The flood of life's demands will consume us if we don’t take the time to let God right our perspective, reduce our stress level, and whisper His tender truths of love in our ear.
Let’s slow down enough to receive all that He longs to pour into us each and every day.
In the midst of processing deep hurt, we can turn to truths that anchor us to the reality of who God is. Truths like:
God is right here with me in the midst of my trouble, I am not alone: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
